Terms and conditions

Last updated 7 October 2026

1. Agreement and acceptance

These terms apply to Thriven’s individual, group and business services. “You” means the person or organisation purchasing services. “Participant” means anyone taking part.

Your proposal, quote or booking confirmation sets out the services, fees and specific arrangements. Together with these terms, it forms your agreement with Thriven.

You accept by signing, accepting electronically or confirming your agreement in writing after receiving these terms. If accepting for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Specific arrangements in an accepted proposal take priority over these general terms, subject to applicable law. Later updates to these terms do not automatically change existing agreements.

2. Services

Thriven provides coaching, mentoring, workshops, education and related health and wellbeing services to individuals and teams, supporting personal and professional development, leadership and team wellbeing.

Services are ordinarily delivered personally by Thriven’s owner, within the scope of her training and competence. Where necessary, Thriven may engage an appropriately trained and competent independent practitioner to deliver an agreed service. We will notify you beforehand, and the agreed service must remain materially unchanged.

Thriven remains responsible for its obligations under your agreement, and your contractual and consumer rights remain unaffected.

3. Professional boundaries and outcomes

Our services are not medical or psychological treatment. Practitioners are not acting as doctors, psychologists or psychiatrists when delivering these services.

We do not diagnose or treat trauma, anxiety disorders or other health conditions. Nutrition information is general education, not medical nutrition therapy or a prescribed diet to treat a condition.

Our services do not replace qualified healthcare or specialist advice. Do not change prescribed medication or treatment because of our services.

Experiences and results vary. We do not guarantee a particular personal, emotional, professional or business outcome. This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Safety and voluntary participation

We ask you to complete our consent form before your first session. We may require screening before breathwork. Please provide accurate information requested for safety purposes and tell us about relevant changes.

The practitioner will explain the activities, relevant risks and alternatives before participation. Breathwork may involve discomfort, dizziness, tingling or strong emotional responses.

Participation is voluntary. You may decline, modify or stop an activity at any time. You do not have to disclose personal experiences. Physical touch requires separate consent.

Tell the practitioner promptly about concerning symptoms or distress. We may modify or stop an activity, request professional advice, or decline participation where reasonably necessary for safety or suitability.

For online sessions, use a safe, private setting. Do not practise breathwork while driving, operating machinery or in water.

Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions, respect others and attend free from substances that impair safe participation. We may pause or end participation for safety concerns or serious misconduct.

Acknowledging risks or consenting to participation does not waive your legal rights.

5. Referrals and emergencies

Thriven may pause or stop services and recommend or facilitate a referral to a medical practitioner, psychologist or another qualified professional where a participant’s needs are outside our scope or there is a safety concern.

If we reasonably believe there is a serious threat to the life, health or safety of a participant or another person, Thriven or its appointed practitioner may contact emergency services or an appropriate support person where permitted or required by law.

We will seek consent where practicable. Where obtaining consent is unreasonable or impracticable, we may disclose information without consent if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat and applicable law permits it. We will disclose only information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Thriven is not an emergency or crisis service and does not monitor participants outside agreed sessions. For an immediate emergency in Australia, call 000.

6. Privacy and confidentiality

We handle personal information in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy. Relevant information may be shared with an appointed practitioner as necessary to deliver services, subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.

Personal disclosures remain confidential unless you authorise disclosure or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

Group participants must respect others’ privacy and must not record or share identifiable personal disclosures without permission. We cannot guarantee that other participants will maintain confidentiality.

For business programs, agreed attendance information and de-identified feedback may be provided to the organisation. Private health information, coaching notes and personal disclosures will not be shared with an employer without the participant’s specific consent, unless permitted or required by law.

We obtain separate permission for recordings, AI transcription, testimonials and identifiable marketing content. An organisation’s booking does not replace individual participant consent.

7. Payment and service period

Full payment is required before services are delivered unless another arrangement is agreed in writing in advance.

Purchased sessions and packages must be completed within six calendar months of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing. The expiry date will be provided with your booking.

Clients are responsible for booking sufficiently in advance, subject to Thriven providing reasonable appointment availability.

Thriven may approve extensions at its discretion, including for illness, emergencies or exceptional circumstances. If Thriven’s changes or lack of reasonable availability prevent completion, we will offer an appropriate extension or refund for affected undelivered services.

Unused services expire at the end of the agreed service period, subject to applicable law. Expiry does not override your consumer rights or any legally required minimum validity period for a gift card or voucher.

8. Client cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be sent to info@thriven.com.au or through the booking channel specified in your confirmation.

If you cancel or request to reschedule less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time, Thriven reserves the right to treat the session as forfeited and retain or charge up to the full fee for that session. For packages, this may mean deducting the session from your remaining balance.

The notice period is measured in elapsed hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Any amount retained or charged must reasonably reflect Thriven’s loss, taking account of costs saved and whether the appointment is filled by another client. We will not recover the same loss twice.

Thriven may, at its discretion, waive or reduce the charge, allow rescheduling or offer a credit or goodwill refund, including in exceptional circumstances. Otherwise, a late-cancelled session is not automatically eligible for rescheduling or a refund.

Requests received at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time may be rescheduled without a late-rescheduling charge, subject to availability and the service expiry date.

If you end a package early, we will refund undelivered services less payment for completed services and any applicable cancellation charge under these terms. We will not retrospectively increase the price of completed sessions unless that arrangement was clearly disclosed and agreed before purchase.

9. Changes initiated by Thriven

Thriven may reschedule or cancel where reasonably necessary because of practitioner illness or unavailability, an emergency, safety concerns or other circumstances preventing delivery.

We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer a suitable alternative. If no suitable alternative is agreed, we will refund the affected undelivered service.

No client cancellation charge applies to changes initiated by Thriven. Where necessary, we will extend the service period so our changes do not reduce your opportunity to use purchased services.

If Thriven ends the engagement, we will refund prepaid amounts for undelivered services.

10. Dissatisfaction, refunds and consumer rights

If you are dissatisfied, contact info@thriven.com.au so we can consider your concern and discuss a resolution.

Where a remedy is not legally required, Thriven may offer an additional session, credit, partial refund or full refund at its discretion.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable guarantees of due care and skill and rights to refunds or other remedies.

Participation or consent does not release Thriven or its practitioners from liability. Liability will be determined under applicable law.

11. Resources and materials

Resources supplied by Thriven may be used for your personal development or the agreed internal business purpose.

Unless permitted by law or agreed in writing, materials must not be sold, republished, repackaged or used to deliver another training program.

You retain ownership of materials you provide. Sharing personal experiences does not give Thriven permission to use them for publicity.

12. Digital products

These terms also apply to digital products sold by Thriven, such as recipe books, journals, downloads and web-based tools (“digital products”). Some digital products may have additional terms, which will be shown at the time of purchase.

Digital products are delivered electronically, usually through a download page or link shown after purchase, and a receipt is emailed to you. Please check your email address when you buy and keep your download somewhere safe. If you have trouble accessing your purchase, contact info@thriven.com.au and we will help.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and Thriven does not store your card details.

When you buy a digital product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own private use and your household’s private use. You must not copy, share, resell, upload, republish or distribute it, or share your download link or access code, without Thriven’s written permission. Thriven retains ownership of its recipes, content, photographs, designs and branding.

Discount and access codes are for one person, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or combined unless we say otherwise.

Because digital products cannot be returned, we do not usually offer refunds for change of mind once you have downloaded or accessed a digital product. If a digital product is faulty, cannot be accessed, is not as described, or you are charged in error, contact us within a reasonable time and we will fix the problem or offer a suitable remedy, including a refund where required. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Recipes and other content are general food and wellbeing information. They are not medical, dietary or nutrition advice and do not replace advice from a qualified health professional. Many recipes contain common allergens such as eggs, nuts and seeds. You are responsible for checking ingredient labels, adjusting recipes to suit your needs and your family’s needs, and taking care when preparing and serving food, especially for young children. Cooking times and results vary between ovens and ingredients.

Where a digital product is a web-based tool or app, we may update, change or retire it. We will give reasonable notice and aim to keep your access for the period you paid for. Digital products must be purchased by a person aged 18 or over.

13. Complaints and general matters

Send complaints to info@thriven.com.au. We will seek to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.

You may contact a regulator, health complaints body, tribunal or court without first completing our complaints process.

Applicable Australian laws govern this agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Services are offered to adults aged 18 and over unless separately agreed following appropriate review and consent arrangements.
